Sustaining Dunbar is holding its first AGM on Monday 22nd March at 7.30pm in the back room of The Rocks Hotel in Marine Road, Dunbar (EH42 1AR).The evening will mainly be a social event, a chance to meet other Sustaining Dunbar members and the staff of our funded projects, to find out more about what is going on with allotments, the bakery, BeGreen, 2025, community owned renewables, sustainable transport etc. and to share your ideas as to how we can make the Dunbar area into a vibrant and sustainable re-localised community.

The formal part of the meeting will be to approve our accounts and annual report 2009, elect directors to the Board and to approve a change to our constitution to do away with a membership subscription.

Our current board members are: Mark Huxham, Jo McNamara, Paul McLennan, Barbara Richerby, Jacquie Bell, Liz McLean and Sarah Wall. Two of these directors (to be decided) will be stepping down and seeking re-election, as required by our constitution. Any member is free to put themselves forward to be a director -so please don’t be shy if you would like to stand. We can have up to seven elected directors, and the board can then co-opt up to three more if they wish.

If you are not officially a member, please do sign up. Membership is open to anyone eligible to vote in the Dunbar and East Linton Ward and, unless members vote otherwise at the AGM, will be free from now on. To join, fill in the membership form.
